Security Deposit Policy
A security deposit guarantees the boat and its equipment against damage, loss and serious breach of the rental terms.

1. Deposit Amount
The standard security deposit is € 500 per rental.
We reserve the right to require a higher deposit for multi-day rentals or special equipment.
2. Payment Method
The deposit is paid at check-in by bank card (PIN) or cash, in addition to the rental fee.
The deposit is not cashed unless deductions apply; cash deposits are held in a sealed envelope and returned on check-out.
3. Return of the Deposit
After a normal return — boat clean, undamaged, equipment complete, on time — the deposit is returned in full immediately at check-out.
If post-rental inspection later reveals hidden damage, you will be informed within 7 days with photographic evidence.
4. Deductions
Visible damage to hull, engine, propeller or interior: actual repair cost, up to and including the full deposit.
Missing or damaged equipment (life jackets, fenders, lines, electronics, fishing gear): replacement value.
Late return: € 50 per started 30 minutes.
Excessive cleaning (fish remains, mud, alcohol, smoke): € 75 cleaning fee.
Refuelling on our behalf: fuel cost plus € 25 service fee.
Serious breach of the rental terms (e.g. leaving Grevelingenmeer, exceeding maximum persons, intoxication): forfeit of the full deposit, without prejudice to further claims.
